(Note: Approx 5 minutes read, with my phone number at the end.)

We already know what exclusive breastfeeding is and how important it is for newborns and new moms too.
In this post, I will tell you how you can achieve 6 months of breast milk only even if you work or school or you are a business person.

And let me mention that please, don’t go exclusive for one month or three months and stop because you need to get to work. Go all the way and give your baby the right start.

I will give an example. If you need to take two jabs of a vaccine but you take only one, you still have 40-60% risk of exposure. Same thing applies if you go exclusive for 1 or 2 or 3 months. The protection that 6 months breastfeeding gives will be lacking.

Now how do we succeed with exclusive breastfeeding?

1. Get help, you need a support system:
Help can be in the form of a more experienced mom, your own mom, aunt, or parent in law. Anyone who knows about lactation that you can easily call. Ideally, a lactation consultant will help. Normally, a lactation consultant will charge a fee but our in-house lactation consultant will attend to you for free.
Do you have a question? Is something bothering you about yourself or your baby? Send the questions, an expert will reply within minutes or a few hours. If there is a need for a video consultation, it would all be arranged for free. No fees charged whatsoever.
On the homepage, we offer help for FREE.

2. Get the right tools:
To succeed at exclusive breastfeeding is hard. Especially for first time mom’s.
From my experience, it’s all about tools. Having the right tools makes it more likely that you would succeed.

For example, if you are get injured in your nipples as a result of breastfeeding, it’s hard to do continue with it. The thought of the pain you would feel with each suckle will frighten you. Nipple injuries are quite common and this makes many moms give up too early or don’t even go all the way. A nipple shield will solve this easily. It would shield the injured nipple from pressure of suckling and give it room to heal while you continue breastfeeding. Some people think continuing to breastfeed on injured nipples is ideal, no, it gets worse. It can become sore, bleed out and your baby will be sucking blood. The right step is a nipple shield.

Furthermore, nipple injuries are sometimes due to wrong positioning of the baby on the nipple. Then if your nipple has structural problems, things can become more tricky. For example some women have flat nipples that the baby can’t even latch on to. For some its inverted, curved inside. For some it’s sleepy, a sleepy nipple needs a lot of stimulation to wake up and be long enough. The remedy is the EasyLatch. It would pull out the nipple. Some call it nipple puller.

But most important in all of this is the breast pump. The breast pump is a device that you will use to express milk from your breast and feed your baby when you are away. Not only that. Even if you are around, but tired or busy in the kitchen or maybe asleep, someone can feed your baby with the breast milk you expressed. This way the chain of 6 months exclusive breastfeeding isn’t broken. It’s so so important that you have one and to be honest I don’t see how a working or schooling or business mom can achieve exclusive breastfeeding without one.

Our company has a pump. Designed for moms’ by moms’. It has some lovely features which I know matters to you. Although we have the electric and manual options, most women get the manual pump. A lot of women love it. I recommend it because I know it works well. And if you have any issues with it, we can teach you about how to get the best use of it.

Let me quickly share features and why women giving good feedback on it;

It increases your milk supply and helps draw out more milk. It comes with a bra, and temperature resistant bottles (that keeps milk fresh for 24hours without a fridge) and many other accessories. It also lifts fallen breasts to stand for women who are breastfeeding and the lift is permanent.
All the women who buy our pump say their husbands now give their breasts compliments.

This bra (included in our pump) can be used as a normal bra, can be used as a breastfeeding bra and as a pump bra. The bra holds the pump to reduce stress. The bra together with the pump helps with the lifting of fallen breasts.
You can also feed your baby directly from that small opening where the pump hangs. This way you show only the nipple during breastfeeding and not expose the entire breast.
It comes with FREE extenders in case you put on weight while pregnant, the extenders will increase the bra’s size.

3. Have a flexible schedule, be ready all the time:
Feeding your baby should not follow any particular routine. Be readily available, and if you will not be around, let the breast milk be available. Even if your baby is not showing any signs of hunger, try to breast (milk) feed somewhere between 2-3 hours after the previous session. Babies have a natural tendency to be drawn by the smell of mom’s milk whether it’s in a bottle or just rubbed on her dress or nipples. Nature made it that way, you should build on what nature started. If you place a new baby that is 5 minutes old on the body of the mom, the baby will crawl with eyes closed to the nipple. How? Smell of milk. So always put breast milk in front of your baby. Let him decide to proceed with nursing or not.

I will conclude by saying, in my years of helping moms in Nigeria, three things are the main challenges with exclusive breastfeeding. Costs for tools, help and support in case of problems, then storage of milk.

To address the cost aspect, we have a pay gradually plan. Order your items and pay over a period with zero interest. Zero penalties if you miss a payment. Just pay as you get money. Many women use it to get their pumps. You can consider this if you have no way to pay at once. You can start if you are currently pregnant. Its important for us as moms to set our priorities right. Do the right thing, make the financial investment to give your child a good start in life. Your innocent baby will be better for it. More so, exclusive breastfeeding will save you money which you would have used to buy formula.

Secondly, we have information on how to store milk in the pump, particularly in Nigeria where there is no guarantee of electricity. Then also, the bottles we sell (FREE with the pump) are temperature resistant. They will keep breast milk fresh for 24 hours even without a fridge.

Thirdly, we have a support system of breastfeeding and breast milk experts you can call on for free. I already mentioned that, so be sure to take advantage of it.
Make the decision to go exclusive today, we are here to help you.

PS.
It would be wrong to end this without mentioning our 3 in 1 Post Pregnancy Abdominal binder. This product has saved many marriages by restoring the shape after childbirth. If you are a mom or mom to be, please be sure to use a post partum product to flatten your belly. Don’t leave it as it is, work on it and dont use a waist trainer or fashion corset to compress a post partum belly. This is the video below and it costs N11,000.
