Most people shy away from registering with an orphanage waiting until they see a child. This is why it seems like the wait is endless regarding following the due process. This is not true. The right step is to register with them and keep close to them by donations and visits until a child shows up. Don’t attempt to bribe any official or force them. Show genuine love within your reasonable financial means to them and their wards so that when a child comes (that meets your specific requirements), you would be the first on the list or one of the first they would think of.
You also should look in the direction of churches and foster foundations because that’s one area single pregnant girls go to for succor.
Although it’s not easy adopting a baby compared to an older child, however, when you consider the fact that most children arrive at orphanages and homes as babies but because there is no adoptive parent to take them at that time, they grow up into older children. Everyone interested in adoption wants a baby, but what about when a baby is available no qualified person is on ground?
Our main advice is simple. Start now with getting yourself to be an approved adopter legally. Don’t be ashamed.
